Cloud communication giant RingCentral has just announced its latest collaboration product: RingCentral Rooms™ for Poly. This couldn’t have come at a better time since helping companies handle operations virtually is more important than ever.

The service is going to be natively built into Poly’s all-in-one video bars — the Studio X. Furthermore, RingCentral Rooms for Poly will reduce the total number of devices needed to set up a proper workspace.

This not only simplifies business communication but also cuts down on upfront costs needed to acquire hardware. Essentially, RingCentral is taking management, analytics, and intelligence to the next level.

It’s evident that this new solution has been designed to make deployment at scale a less painful process through easier managing systems, faster installations, and frictionless procurement. RingCentral Rooms for Poly is in the beta stage right now, but a full release is expected soon.

Both the Poly Studio X30 and X50 models have had RingCentral Rooms fully integrated. This brings a convenient and seamless experience to any workspace equipped with Poly products. As we mentioned earlier, timing is a key factor for the release.

A survey from Gartner showed that the percentage of employees working remotely has gone from 30% to 41% due to the latest public health developments. The shift towards a hybridized workforce means that colleagues will need an efficient way to share ideas remotely.

While WFH employees are sure to get a lot of value out of RingCentral Rooms, on-site employees will be able to reap the benefits as well. This is because they’ll be able to collaborate with coworkers who are miles away as seamlessly as if they were in the very same room.

RingCentral Rooms has been put together using the latest unified collaboration and video technology, which makes meeting quality feel like something from the future, whether you’re at home or in the office.

A few analysts have noted that this evens the playing field since those who are working remotely will be able to contribute fully to their company rather than being at a disadvantage to those who are physically present.

The chief product officer at RingCentral, Will Moxley, also commented on how the advancement of remote collaboration capabilities led to an evolution in the way companies function.

“The ability to work from anywhere has significantly changed how businesses operate now and in the future. Modern teams need flexible solutions that enable them to collaborate and adapt to rapidly changing work environments,” said Moxley.

“RingCentral Rooms brings that flexibility to any workspace and is designed to meet the immediate work-from-home needs of teams while still serving the needs of onsite employees as companies gradually return to the office,” he added.

The Belmont-based PBX provider has long been known for its mission to help people communicate, collaborate, and connect via any mode, any device, and any location. In fact, their stock even gained 54% in four months during the turn of this decade.

No one doubts that RingCentral has always been at the top of their game when it comes to software, but now their partnership with Poly allows them to enhance the meeting experience further thanks to the latter’s impressive hardware features.

This includes capabilities like intelligent noise suppression, production-grade video, full boardroom quality audio, and wireless content sharing. The information so far has been exciting to say the least, but more announcements regarding the partnership are on the horizon.

Specifically, the additional details are slated for release later this quarter. Of course, this isn’t the first time that the two companies have partnered up, as Tim Root — a vice president and general manager at Poly — was quick to remind people of.

“Poly and RingCentral have a long-standing partnership, which we are now excited to extend to include video meetings. The RingCentral Rooms application running on the Poly Studio X family enables users to walk into a room and get right to business, all while having the same quality of interaction with remote participants as if they were face-to-face.” Root said.

Companies of all sizes are sure to benefit from this latest alliance that has been forged in the remote collaboration world — bringing enterprise experiences to off-the-shelf equipment. For now, we must tame our excitement as we await the next announcement.
