Preparations for ITExpo East are starting to heat up in the midst of the cold Winter months, with the conference getting set to kick off on January 30, 2012, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Today, TMC released an updated program for their ITExpo Miami 2013, which will highlight the leading communications and technology forms, with a focus on cloud, mobility, collaboration, teleconferencing, and other burgeoning opportunities. The ITExpo began in 1999, and has since established itself as the quintessential forum for networking, buyers, resellers, and manufacturers to experience next generation innovations at the highest level – forming partnerships and developing relationships that will most certainly last well beyond the three-day event.

At this time, a concrete list is still materializing as TMC fills in the blanks with some great keynote speakers and events. Already slated to deliver these keynotes is a soon to be named speaker from Telefonica, as well as Jack Waters, Chief Technology Officer at Level 3. TMC will be continuing their popular series, which was a great success at the ITExpo West 2012, in StartupCamp7: Comms Edition – which promises to feature some new and enterprising ventures being 'pitched' for those in attendance. The most recent edition was especially fun to be a spectator of, and went so far as to help the industry realize where more development might be needed (as pointed out so deftly by the previous winners, RingDNA).

The past year has been full of impressive new innovations, sure to be powerful starting points of discussion in the planned panels on the future of cloud computing, and evolution of the telcom service provider. The current programming for the Expo is also set to include four main tracks: Customer Interaction, Enterprise Solutions, Mobility and Service Provider Solutions. TMC hopes to enrich and educate on key facets of the entire community, where the aforementioned tracks will cover:

  • Customer Interaction: Sessions devoted to customer experience and engagement, using social media to increase ROI, maintaining quality consistency for remote workforces, contact center strategies, big data and using gamification to drive behavior.
  • Enterprise Solutions: Programming focused on Microsoft Lync, SBCs, differentiating hosted/cloud/on-premises solutions, achieving and maintaining high quality-of-service, VoIP, cloud economics, performance management, video, business continuity/disaster recovery and desktop communications.
  • Mobility: Sessions highlighting BYOD, BYOI, security trends and directions, next-generation mobility challenges, 4G expectations, voice-enabled apps and mobile UC.
  • Service Provider Solutions: Programming on managed services, revenue generation from UC&C, next-generation CSPs, cloud options, big data, software-defined networking and small cells.

“The 2013 ITEXPO Miami will be one of our most important events to date, thanks to the expertise of our keynoters, and session presenters. With so many exciting new innovations addressing the needs of enterprise, SMB and service provider markets, the ideas and solutions attendees discover at the conference help them make smart buying decisions on the expo floor,” stated Rich Tehrani, TMC CEO and ITEXPO conference chairman. “We’re expecting more than 7,000 attendees at ITEXPO Miami this year, representing all sectors of the Communications industry. These attendees will gain insight on new strategies and solutions, share their own best practices and forge profitable relationships that will bring additional value to their business and customers.”
