Check out this live demo of the RCA IP150 from ITExpo West 2012:

When I see the RCA insignia, it immediately brings me back to my childhood, along with the fond memories of the quality audio and video products I owned from them over the years that seemingly lasted forever.  At the ITExpo last week, we got a sneak peek at three IP phones RCA are launching over the next couple of months. I was almost entranced by their flagship creation, the RCA IP150, which really stole the show in my opinion. Needless to say, it was thoroughly impressive; enabled for business productivity apps which can easily be ported to the IP150 through a software development kit (SDK) or using the application programming interface (API) layer.

A lot of the attendees at the Expo were attracted to the booth #514 – presumably at times, to confirm up close that it was indeed the same RCA they knew and loved. RCA’s foray into VoIP telephony is without a doubt, a strong one – it’s clear they’ve been paying attention despite their prior absence from the industry altogether. The new RCA IP150 runs on Android, has a bright, vibrant, built-in 7″ capacitive touch screen, in addition to the amazing audio quality you’d expect from the long-standing electronics trademark.

The RCA IP150 retails at $399.99, and includes these great features:

  • 7” Capacitive Touchscreen Display
  • Google AndroidTM 2.1
  • Application Store with Downloadable Android Apps
