I am a 13 year consumer user of Vonage….

I am a 13 year consumer user of Vonage. We moved to their service because of the international plan and ability to call the UK for ‘free’. After years of price increase, ok we stuck with Vonage, but then 12 months ago our home ‘modem’ stopped working. After much research on the web we learned that we needed to buy our own replacement or pay around $90 for a replacement box from Vonange. I call them to get the new modem activated. Customer Service tells me I have to purchase a new modem from them. ok, I agree and pay the $90 which appears on my bill. It never arrives. A month later I call them back to get the refund, which they did.”Oh, we no longer provide modems. You need to get your own”. Turns out I have a new un-used one. I ask them to activate it then and there, and the story changes. “Oh, you have to get one from us, and just pay the shipping”. I say ok. They bill me for the shipping ( around $9 ). The modem never arrives. At this time we have been using the Vonage Extensions App on our mobile phones. It does not work with some international numbers. This company was great at one time, but now they are a disaster. The CEO should be fired. The Customer Service is complete crap. When I called to cancel the line yesterday it took the agent 30 minutes to cancel one residential line. Hello people… this is 2021. That’s two HTTPS transactions to cancel a line. Disaster of a company. Avoid at all costs.. Oh, and after 13 years as a paying customer, when I called to cancel, the agent offered me the same $40+ plan for $10.99/month. Ludicrous…. I hope they go bust.

This is absolutely the worse company…

This is absolutely the worse company I’ve ever used. Had countless issues with them. I have never ever been able to use the service yet I’m billed for it monthly. It took me 2.5 months to finally speak to a Human because their customer support system is SHIT!! Then when I finally got the chance to talk to them and tell them that I was unable to use the service and I want to cancel this horrible shit they tell me I have to pay an additional $271 for something that never worked in the first place. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!! Don’t Waste Your Money!! Take your business some where else that its really appreciated.

I have had vonage for years and recommended the service to many customers, but they are real scammers, liars and cheats when you want out. They transferred me around the world to different people trying to put me off from cancelling. They would make me repeat my phone number time after time, spell my name, as for credit card number saying they wanted to make sure it was actually me cancelling. They transferred me to the Uk and then to the US and have to answer all the same questions again and again when wanting to cancel. Each time I would explain I was in Canada. I was under 2 minutes signing on to vonage and over an hour when cancelling. I cannot recommend this company.

This company is a joke! They do not…

This company is a joke! They do not have a number to call for support and this is a phone company, granted it is VOIP but still not number to get support! Call quality is poor, when you do get support all they do is blame your internet connection. I have a T1 line so its not my connection is is there poor service. They are cheap and you get what you pay for, so don’t waste your money. If you cannot understand your caller you have wasted money and time. When you get support you realize you have made a HUGE mistake!

Jeremy from Vonage is truly the best…

Jeremy from Vonage is truly the best customer service worker I have ever met, and maybe in general, one of the most professional, hopeful, and patient professionals I have met in general. I am an office manager and needed a new phone system ASAP, as our old one blew out. I had never set up a phone system and was feeling overwhelmed. I reached out to a few VOIP providers, including Vonage, where I met Jeremy – and ultimately decided to go with Verizon VOIP, which was our current provider and gave us a great rate. However, after a few days on Verizon VOIP, we realized it was not going to work and didn’t do what we needed. I emailed Jeremy, after I had already turned Vonage away, and asked if it was too late to switch over. Jeremy was so helpful this past week in helping me set up, configure, and get used to Vonage, and talked me through everything. Even if you are not great technically, Jeremy will make it easy for you to decide what you need, and how to use it. I asked the same questions multiple times, being forgetful, and he never made me feel bad. He is, long story short, amazing and I cannot recommend him, or Vonage enough.

Issues in transferring my home phone…

Issues in transferring my home phone number for over a month now. Customer support is in India and they do not have enough knowledge and will not transfer to the porting team or anyone in US that can help. Web site would show old carrier refused port out which was incorrect (found out after FCC complaint). Vonage is not requesting the port out properly. Now have requested FCC to assist in the transfer by reaching out to Vonage. Does anyone know if there is a way to contact someone at Vonage in USA that can help?

Have had Vonage for five years and the…

Have had Vonage for five years and the price has more than doubled. Since everyone I know and all my accounts have this number, I decided to port my Vonage number to a mobile provider for more features and less cost. Vonage is refusing to give a FOC (Firm Order Commitment) for my number to go to the new carrier. After three weeks of nonsense; giving me the runaround with scripted non-answers in heavy Urdu accented English; a broken chat button on my login page; a cancellation number 866-243-4357 that is “invalid”; and six broken promises to respond to me by email. I am done with this company. I filed a complaint with the FCC today. You can always distinguish an incompetent from a criminal by the way their “bungling” always lands in their favor and not yours.

No major complains on quality,…

No major complains on quality, reliability and installation, but do not fall for their marketing messages of “being different and humble”. I have been client for several years and then switched to a smaller plan. 8 month later I decided to close the account and learnt that when I switched plans I was casually signed up for 1 year commitment and since I did not fulfilled it they charged me a departing gift of $120 cancellation charge. Being naive I thought Vonage does not do this crap … well, they definitely do. So, treat this as you would any other large company whose primary goals is screw you at a slightest opportunity.

We have this phone for our business and it is the worst company EVER. Please do not waste your time and money and take your business elsewhere. They never respond to phone or emails and everything is upcharges. We pay $180 for NOTHING when other companies offer most things included. I am looking for a different company and I am totally okay with paying more as long as we get rid of this garbage company

The absolute worst phone service I have…

The absolute worst phone service I have encounter and all I have is regret for ever giving them my business. Constant problems with the app, so if you plan to use any smart devices, you may as well forget about it. Then when you call to try to resolve issues, you are referred to online chat. Cannot say enough about what a slap in the face this is, completely horrendous to get things resolved. In fact, they often do not, gave business I never should have. I highly suggest staying as far away from Vonage as possible.
